From Our Own Corret pendent. Personal, Mr and Mrs C. P. Olsson, of Te Kuiti, have been the guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Marshall HanAir and Airs E. W. Collins, and the Misses V. and P. Collins, have returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs E. A. Shaw has returned from a holiday spent at Lower Hutt, Wellington. Air and Airs J. Cheetham. Senr., have returned to Paraparaumu beach after an eenjoyable motor tour of the North, and are spending (i few days with their sons and daughters-in-law. Mr and Airs P. Sloan, of Waipukurau, were the guests of Air and Airs L. Holland for the week-end. Air A. E. Lord, of Greenmeadows, Hastings, has returned home after visiting Air and Airs L. Holland. Airs G. Dimond, of Waikato has been spending a holiday with her sister, Airs AI. Hansen. Airs A. AI. wightson, of Christchurch, has been the guest of Mr and Airs Noei Wood before leaving for Sydney. Airs E. A. Shaw Is on holiday in Hawke’s Bay. Air C. G. Wood has returned from a holiday spent at Foxton beacli with Air E. Wood, Senr.
Rain is stiff needed badly in tho district. Gardens and pastures are very parched and tanks are again nearly empty. Settlers would appreciate a warm, steady rain before frosts appear.
