On Saturday afternoon ex-teachers and pupils and their friends met at the school grounds for the roll call. Mrs. Clayton, who was Miss Watts, an assistant teacher, continued the reading and was later relieved by Mr. Bennett. Miss Astbury, a daughter of an ex-teacher, and Mrs. Gray finished calling the roll, which was answered by many pupils who had returned for the celebrations. Many telegrams and letters were received from teachers who were unable to attend. A roll call of returned soldiers was called by Mr. Stafford Bainbridge, and all present stood in silence in memory of the pupils who had fallen in the Great War.

The Feilding Municipal Band was present and played several selections which were appreciated. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies, when the jubilee cake was cut and handed round. Cameras were much in evidence and many photographs were taken of different groups of pupils. The old pupils’ re-union dinner was a fitting end to Saturday’s festivities. , Long tables running the length of the : hall were filled and the many diners did justice to the tempting fare set before, them. Following the dinner the toasts were proposed: “The King,’* Mr. A. Lawson; “The Pioneer Scholars,” Mr. H. Fowler, to which Messrs. S. Bainbridge and E. Fowler replied; “The Teachers, ’’ Mr. V. Short, with Mesdames Gray and Clayton replying; “The Jubilee Committee,” Mr. Gordon, M.P., to which Messrs. S. Beard and A. Morgan replied; “The Ladies,” Mr. W. Bainbridge, Miss Healey replying for the visiting ladies and Mrs. V. Jones for the Kimbolton ladies; “Absent Friends,’’ Mr. W. G. Clapham. Several vocal items followed, those taking part being Miss Astbury, Mrs. Beedie, Mrs. V. Short, Messrs. J. Brazier, P. McLean and J. Hansen, Mrs. Hansen playing the accompaniments. A mock court caused much hilarity, many prominent settlers and old pupils being brought up and fined for various “offences.” During tho function many humorous incidents were recalled by teachers and pupils. A final gathering of old pupils who visited the district for the re-union was held in the form of a combined church service on Sunday, Mr. L. J. Hodson and Rev. Fleury each giving a short address.
