Hides and Skins

Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., report:—Average catalogues were offered to a full bench of buyers at our hide and sheepskin sale. A well spread demand for sheepskins advanced prices by a halfpenny to three-farthings compared to our last sale. Under keen competition cow hides improved by id, while all weights of ox, yearling, kip and calf sold at par. The range of prices is as follows: — Dry sheepskins: llalfbred, 7Jd to BJd; fine Xbred, 7d to 8d; medium Xbred, 6|d to 7jd; coarse Xbred, 6|d to 7Jd; half wools, sid to 71d; quarter wools, 4Jd to s|d; pelts, 2id to 4}d.
