Skins and Hides
Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., report: “We offered good catalogues of hides and sheepskins at our fortnightly sale held hero to-day. Prices showed little change compared with recent rates. Sheepskins were keenly competed for and remained firm. Light ox improved three-eighth pence, all other weights together with cow can be quoted at par. Kip and yearling hardened slightly, and calf were unchanged. The
range of prices is as follows: Dry Sheepskins.—llalfbred, Gd to 7£d; fine Xbrcd, s£d to 7ld; medium Xbred, 5Jd to 7.1 d; coarse Xbred, s]d to 7id; half wools, 4id to 7d; quarter wools, 3ld to 53d; pelts, 2.Jd to 4Jd.
Hides. —Ox, 331bs. to 441bs. 4|d to 5 3-Sd, 45-52 43d to 5 7-Sd, 53-59 5 l-8d to 6 l-Bd, GO-G 9 5 l-8d to GJd, 701bs. and over 3}d to Old; cow, 331bs. to 391bs. 4 5-Sd to 5 3-Bd, 40-48 4d to sd, 491b3. and over 4d to 5Jd; kip, 25-321bs. 42d to 6Jd, 17-24 4sd to 7 3-Sd; yearling, 31-16 sid to 8Id; calf, 9-10 54d to Bld, G-8 5d to 10 3-Bd, 1-5 5d to 10-id.
