Fine Meanwhile Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anticyclone slight intensity extends from the north Tasman, on to northern New Zealand. Pressure is falling over south-eastern Australia. Winds: North-westerly on. parts of the east coast; otherwise south-wester-lies prevailing at first, but westerlies or north-westerlies gradually becoming more general, force moderate to strong and rising to gale in some exposed positions. Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits and rather rough on parts of the west coast, otherwise slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Moderate southwest to westerly winds, turning to northerlies and freshening; seas slight to moderate but rising in the southern portion.

Weather: For the most part fair to fine with rising temperatures, but scattered rains in the far south and extending later along western districts from Taranaki southwards. Temperatures rising.
