The Secretary of Labour, Miss Frances Perkins, issued a statement announcing that the Dies Committee had failed to present evidence in support of charges that the Australian Harry Bridges, the union leader, advocated the overthrow of the Government. She said Bridges had entered the country legally in 1920.
