Car Struck by Train
ENGINE STALLS ON LINE Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Jan. 15. When its motor stalled on tho Tailway line at the Awarua crossing on the Bluff line, a car carrying seven women and two children was carried along the line for two chains by the engine of an excursion train and hurled over a bank. It turned over two or three times as it fell, and was completely wrecked, but all seven occupants climbed from the demolished vehicle with only minor cuts and bruises.
