Opossum Turns On Flood Lights

EXPERIENCE AT JOHNSTON PARK Investigating the reason for the operation of the floodlights at Johnston Park the other night, Mr. C. V. Guy, of South Street, found that they had been apparently switched on by an opossum. Failing to obtain any satisfaction from the motor campers in the park Mr. Guy entered the pavilion and from the presence of an opossum which made a hurried exit, he assumed that the animal in gaining entrance to the building to ta<j building through an opening in the root had come into contact with the floodlight switches. The opening was above the switches and the opossum in jumping down to a table had presumably brushed the switch handle as it passed, causing the floodlights to throw their beams over the playing area.
