Unusual False Fire Alarm

AUXILIARY FINED £5 Rather unusual circumstances wero brought to light when a chargo of giving a false alarm of fire was preferred against Wilfred Edwin Ehrhorn in tho Magistrate's Court yesterday. Tho case was difficult to understand, said Detective O. Power, who prosecuted, as defendant was an auxiliary fireman. He had been drinking and could give no other explanation than that perhaps he wanted to see how quickly tho brigade could turn out. Mr. H. P. La wry, S.M., who was on the Bench, imposed a fine of £5 and costs.
