"REBECCA OF SUNNYBBOOK FARM’’ Romancing stars, dancing stars, comedy stars, singing stars—there are stars all around the screen's Number One star, Shirley Temple, in her best-of-all musical hit, "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm,'' 20th Century-Fox picture which is showing on Friday at the Cosy Theatre. Randolph Scott and Gloria Stuart are gloriously in love; Jack Haley and Slim Summerville make merry; tap-king Bill Robinson dances with Shirley at tapspeed; and other top talent includes Phyllis Brooks, Helen Westlcy, the Raymond Scott Quintet, Alan Dinehart and J. Edward Bromberg. Kate Douglas Wiggins' story suggested the merry, modern screen play by Karl Tunberg and Don Ettlinger. A streamlined Radio Centre moves in down by the old mill stream, and it'» a happiness hook-up for everyone. Six new rhythm songs stud the happy musical score. Songs which will add to the humming repertory of hit-lovers everywhere are "An Old Straw Hat," by Gordon and Revel; "Alone With You," "Happy Ending," and "Crackly Grain Flakes" by Pollack and Mitchell; "Come and Get Your Happiness" by Pokrass and Yellen; and "Toy Trumpet," with music by Raymond Scott and lyrics by Pollack ana Mitchell. In addition, Shirley singe a medley of all her famous hits of the past, a reprise which has been requested by many of her fans, Darryl F. Zanuck, 20th Century-Fox hit-maker, selected Allan Dwan to direct "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm," with Raymond Griffith associate producer. An outstanding attraction for Monday night only will be the hitherto untold story of the great war, "Lancer Spy," starring George Sanders, Dolorea Del Rio and Peter Lorre. Patrons would be well advised to reserve early for all sessions.
