Woman Astronomer to Visit the Dominion

LECTURE TOUR PLANNED LONDON, Dec. 8. Due at Wellington by the Rangitane on December 16 are two English travellers, Mr. and Mrs. N. McGrigor Phillips, of Temple Sowerby Manor, Westmorland. Mrs. Phillips, who is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, is well known as Dorothy Una Ratcliffe. In addition, Mrs. Phillips is president of the Yorkshire Dialect Society and of the Penrith and District Natural History Society, and also edits a literary magazine sold on behalf of North Country charities. She has had published much verse and prose, and while in New 1 Zealand she intends lecturing on North* Country writers of to-day.
