Sunday Concert

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In yesterday’s issue of the Times appeared an advertisement for a Sunday concert. This concert is in place of a picture originally arranged for. Although a permit was obtained for tho screening of a film, this particular picture, when submitted for approval, was regarded as not suitable. On behalf of the organisers I wish to make this explanation and express regret for not being able to keep faith with those supporters who had promised to come along, but 1 appeal to them to patronise the very excellent concert we have arranged in place of same. Our thanks also go out to the managers of the Mayfair and State Theatres for their untiring efforts to secure a suitable film.—l am, etc., M. F. HAYWARD 295 Church Street, December 1, 1938.
