Successful School Concert

CHILDREN AID CHINESE RELIEF FUND

As a result of an enjoyable concert held at the Pahiatua District High School on Thursday the funds of the Chinese Relief Fund will benefit to the extent of over £4 10s. The concert, which was conducted and controlled entirely by the pupils of Mr. Slater’s room, Standards 4A and 58, was well attended by parents and children and revealed some excellent talent among the performers. Items were varied, a number being original, and ranged from choral work, recitation, play acting, tap dancing, gymnastic displays and infant items, to Maori hakas and a “grand howl” by members of the Palmerston cub troop.
