It is anuounced that Joe Louis will defend his heavyweight boxing title against John Henry Lewis at Madison Square Garden on January 27. The bout will be of 35 rounds. It will be the first all-negro heavyweight championship in history. Lewis recently announced his entry to the heavyweight class because of his inability to pare down to the 1751 be. limit.
