To-day’s Programme

Another interesting programme has been arranged for to-day by the Manawatu A. and P. Association. Details are as follow: 9 a.m.: Exhibition of machinery, implements, trade exhibits, etc. 9.30 a.m.: Judging of saddle ponies, pony trotting, pony jumping and wire jumping. 10 a.m.: Jersey female judging, competition by teams from Young Farmers’ Clubs. 10.30 a.m.: Hereford cattle judging competition and judging thoroughbreds; also boy and girl riders. 1.30 p.m.: Parade of pigs. 1.45 p.m.: Parade of dogs on the oval. 2 p.m.; Grand parade of all animals that will lead. 2.30 p.m.: Lady rider competition, followed by water jump, open hunters’, champion i->ony jump, and handy hunters’ competition. 5.30 p.m.: Dog show closes finally. 5.30 p.m.: Show closes until 7 p.m. 7 p.m.: Show opens for evening session. 7.30 p.m.: Procession of beauty contest finalists in cars to the Showgrounds from their hotel led by the City Band. 8 p.m.: “Miss New Zealand” finalists appear on special platform in Entertainment ITall. 8.45 p.ra.: Second appearance by beauty contest finalists. 10 p.m.: Show closes until 9 a.m. on Saturday.
