Ajax takes linlithgow STAKES DOMINOR AGAIN SUCCESSFUL United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 8.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, Nov. 3. The weather was fine and warm anu there was a good attendance at Flem ington for the third day of the Victoria Racing Club’s meeting. Dominor had little difficulty in repeating its Cup day win in the Novem ber Hurdle. It has now had six hurdle wins in succession. Aspire was prominent always outside the rail and had a comfortable win iu the Byron Moore Stakes. It cost 1200 guineas as a yearling and has registered two wins and a second in three starts. It looks a Derby proposition. Ajax was untroubled in the Linlith gow Stakes and registered his thir teenth successive win. Its full record is 20 wins and three seconds in 24 starts and £23,765 in stakes. He also won the Linlithgow Stakes last year. Adios finished strongly to beat the pacemaker Caragona iu the Carnival Handicap. Nothcrlea, who was improving, ran fifth. The winner was trained by the former New Zealander, George Price. There w r as an exciting finish in the Oaks. French Gem, last at the home turn, displayed unexpected stamina and won in the last few strides from Talkalot, who headed the pacemaker, Gay Dell, 50 yards from the post. Acheron ran a poor race and Paddy Montague | was disappointing. The winner was trained by R. Sinclair and owned by G. W. Badman, owner of Auries’ Star. An exciting finish was witnessed in the Veteran Stakes. £1 Senorita held off fast finishing runs by L’Aiglon and Manolive. Queen of Song had a poor run and finished sixth. Shean) 2 Glenfino, 8.0 (H. Skidmore) ... 3 Eighteen started. Won by one and ahalf lengths; half a head. Romford was fourth. Time, I.OJ. LINLITHGOW STAKES, of £1000; li miles. AJAX, 9.0 (11.
