From Our Own Correspondent. Tennis Club. The showery and rather boisterous weather conditions on Saturday proved a disappointment to the local tennis players. As all arrangements were made for opening day, the small gathering present decided to proceed and the club president, Mr C. H. Osborne, declared the courts open for play and wished the club a successful season. Invitations were received to the opening days at Utuvvai, Kimbolton and Rangiwahia Clubs. Although the conditions were not pleasant, enthusiasts played a few sets, after which the ladies served afternoon tea.
