Increased Number of Marriages
PALMERSTON NORTH FIGURES FOR TEN MONTHS Although the birth-rate during the ten months of 193 S shows a slight decline when compared with the figures for the corresponding period of 1937, there has been a substantial increase in the number of marriages celebrated in the Palmerston North district, both in the mouth of October and during the ten months of the present calendar year. The figures for the month of October arc as follow:—. 1938. 1937.
