CONVEYOR NEVER DANGEROUS IN WERRIBEE CUP Received Wednesday, 9.35 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 19. Results at the Werribee meeting today were as follows: WERRIBEE CUP: KEEPING WATCH, 7.13 (V. Hartney) 1 Maluno, 8.12 (A. Reed) .... 2 Elmdale, 7.12 (H. Skidmore) 3 Eleven started. Won by threequarters of a length, a length between second and third. Time, 2.6 J. Conveyor was never dangerous. Raeburn registered its best effort in Australia to-day in finishing second to Birdplay in the Three-year-old Handicap. Dannevirko was much improved to-day. Owing to the death of the partowner, Mr. H. E. Vail, of Western Australia, the Melbourne Cup candidate, Balkan Prince, will be offered for sale next Monday. RESULTS FROM SYDNEY Received Wednesday, 9.40 p.m. At Victoria Park to-day the Gaine Carrington three-year-old filly Footlights, won the Fourteen-Two Handicap of 4i furlongs. Silver Coat won the Brush Hurdle Race of 1$ miles from Extra Mount and Beau Ideal. The Limond filly Leif won the second division of the Novice Handicap of one mile.
