Cricket Umpires Meet
PREPARING TOR COMING SEASON
The annual meeting of the Manawatu Cricket Umpires’ Association was held last evening, Mr. E. Tottman presiding.
Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Mr. F. J. Oakley; president, Mr. A. E. Mansford; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Hodgens, M.P., J. R. Hardie, W. P. Anderson, W. L. Fitzherbert, T. L. Seat or, A. S. Bayliss, H. E. Bennett, and Hon. M.. Briggs; delegate to the
Manawatu Cricket Association, Mr. D. Jones; appointment committee, Messrs. E. Tottman and F. Hubbard; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. Hubbard; auditor, Mr. R. A. Brace.
I The balance-sheet revealed a credit of £3 10s Bd. It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to Mrs. W. B. Cameron and family in the passing of Mr. Cameron. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect.
Complimentary references were made to the work of the secretary who was accorded a vote of thanks. Mr. Brace was also thanked for his services as auditor.
