Airs. C. Dalgety (Mangaweka) with her small son, is staying with her sister, Aliss C. Warburton, College Street.
Aliss Peggy Charlesworth, Wellington, is staying with Miss Patricia Lewer, of College Street. Mrs. R. H. Manning, Remuera, is the guest of Airs. E. J. Wills, Russell Street, for the Manawatu golf tournament. Airs, and Miss Hobson and Mrs. Hewitt (Waipukurau) are visiting Palmerston North for the Aranawatu Ladies' Golf Club tournament. Mrs. Cyril King, Fitzherbert Avenue, has Aliss Pat Helean, of Hastings, as her guest for the golf tournament this week. Dr. and Airs. W. AI. AlaeLaurin, of Feilding,. are returning home to-day, after a few days spent with relatives in Wellington. Messrs. N. C. and O. H. Nairn returned to Feilding yesterday, after an enjoyable trip through New Plymouth, Tauranga, and the Waikato. Airs. S. G. Pettier, of Wairoa, formerly Aliss Jean Aluir, of Palmerston North, is staying with her mother until Labour Day week-end. Alias J. Horwell (Timaru) is staying with Airs. Fullerton-Smith (Alarton) for the Alanawatu ladies’ golf tournament and Aliss V. Fleming, of Christchurch, is with Miss M. Ilston (Hunterville). Mrs. Welton Hogg (Lower Hutt), Airs. Alan Park (Wellington), Alisses L. Lucas (member of the executive of the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Council) and L. Harkness, are visiting Palmerston North for the Alanawatu Ladies’ Golf Club tournament. Mr. and Airs. W. Templeton, of GreyI mouth, former residents of Palmerston North, who have been holidaying in the North Island, returned from Auckland last week and are spending a few days with Airs. W. Clark, Princess Street, oetore returning south on Friday. Miss Frances Bcuily, of Sydney, examiner for the children’s grades ot the Royal Academy of Dancing, arrived from liawke's Bay yesterday and will be examining in Palmerston North for the next few days. She will be in all about six weeks in the Dominion examining in both Islands and leaves for Wellington at the week-end.
Miss Lorna McAffer, a talented young dancer of this city, on the staff of the Broadway School of Dancing, has interesting plans for furthering her chosen profession. She proposes to leave for London early next February to continue her studies at the Royal Academy of Dancing, and to be away at least 12 months.
