Wind-up Dance

NATIONAL PARTY FAIR A small but happily disposed gathering attended the dance on Friday eve ning which brought to a conclusion the National Party’s effort of that day. Good music was played by Messrs. Brooker and Hicks’ Star Band and Messrs. G. D. Farley and H. Brooker. The joint M.C.s were Messrs. K. Mitchell and D. Wareham. | The service of an excellent supper was arranged by the following committee: Mesdames R. R. .Johnston, F. W. G. Knapp, J. C. Bolton, Faulkener, Aitchesou, N. J. Gilbert, R. H. Rhodes and Misses Aitcheson, M- Lyon and M. Redwood. During the evening the results of a number of competitions were announced. Mrs. Rhodes and Mr. Drover, of Foilding, each won a pig, hams wero won by Mrs. Spence and Mrs. K. Tylee, a cake by Miss M. Redwood, a pet lamb by Mrs. Rhodes, and the junior branch’s competition for 20 gallons of benzine by Mr. R. Simon, c/o Mr. O. H. Druce, Kumeroa.
