At a meeting of members of th# National Party in the Onehungn electorate Mr. J. Park was selected as tha official National candidate to oppose tho sitting Labour member, Mr. A. U. Osborne, at the approaching general election. Mr. Fark and the other nominee for the candidature, Mr. E. V. Sutherland, addressed the meeting. Mr. Park has lived in the Onehunga district for many years. He is a former Mayor of the borough and is at present a member of the Auckland Electric Power Board.
