Palmerston North to
Have Commercial Plant
EVENING TRANSMISSIONS ONLY As promised by the Prime Minister, Hon. M. J. .Savage, when in Palmerston North during the Winter Show, Palmerston North is now definitely to have a radio broadcasting station, Mr. J. liodgcns, M.P., advising that Cabinet has approved of its establishment. There will be a seven-day service, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It is understood the equipment will bo that used in one of the Auckland stations and will give a wide coverage. It is to be operated on commercial lines.
There is nothing definite as yet as to where tho transmitter and studios arc to be located.
