United Cricket Club
ANNUAL MEETING HELD Mr. G. W. Love presided at tho annual meeting of the United Cricket Club last night. There was a fair attendance of members. Players in general had had a good season of sport, stated the chairman, in congratulating the club on tho success of the last year’s operations. (The elections of officers was as follows; Patron, Hon. M. Briggs, M.L.C.; president, Mr. G, W. Love; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. W. R. Kells, G. 11. Francis, H. Olliver, F. S. Goldingham, C. 1-.
Robert, A. E. Lynch, E. A. Fearniey, k. Mumford, G. Edmonds and J. L. Bennett; secretary and treasurer, Mr. ,). Gnliichan; cijb captain, Mr. P. A. Lynch; delegates to management committee of Manawatu Association, Messrs. Love and Lynch; committee, Messrs. D. J. Cormack, C. E. Hincks, A. L. Jewett, L, Cookßley, J. M. Duffield, D. B. Thompson; auditor, Mr. K. Olliver. New members elected totalled sixteen. It was decided to leave the nomination of teams to participate in the association competition to tho incoming committee. On being put to the meeting a proposal to assist in the formation of a United Sports Club was carried.
