Carruthers, K L. Park, W. Gleesou, E. Clcvely, J. A. Colquhoun and F. E.-Sherwood. In regard to the union’s junior competition, it was decided that Old Boys and Kia Toa should play off: for tlie . championship on. Saturday. It was decided to Mr. A. Thompson as the referee for the match - between Mauawatu aud King Country at Taumarunui on Saturday. Au inqiry is to be made from the King Country Union as to whether it would be prepared to play a representative match at Palmerston North on the King's Birthday next year. While the grandstand re-roofing is in progress, the present dressing-rooms underneath will continue to be used. 1 Old Boys’ thirds were granted per mission to play in Wanganui on September 17. Arising out of an inquiry from the Wanganui Education Board, it was decided to advise the board that the Park road grounds would be available, free of charge, to the new intermediate school for the purpose of playing Rugby, subject to suitable arrangements being made with tho primary and secondary schools, which have the use of the area on Fridays and Saturdays. A letter from the Porirua third grade team seeking a Saturday game with a third grade team here was referred to interested local clubs. Tho union confirmed arrangements for a third grade match at Palmerston North on Saturday between Kia Toa and Suburbs (Auckland). The Kia Toa club dretv attention to the state of the ground at the back of tho Showgrounds’ grandstand. “Wo consider,” tho club wrote, “that if the policy of the union is to continue to play senior and junior matches oil the N back ground, steps should be taken to put the ground in reasonable playing order.” The chairman said there seemed little prospect of getting anything done to the ground, which was unfit « for playing football. However, the . clubs themselves had expressed a preference for it as compared with playing at, Park road. Mr. Colquhoun suggested that the union should give further consideration to the development of tho Park road ground and, on his motion, a com- ; mitt.ee consisting- of the president and Messrs. Eglinton, Hands and Colquhoun was set up to go into the matter during the off-season. Fixtures for Saturday Senior: Feilding Old Boys v. Feildiug, No. 1 Johnston Park, at 3 p+w. (Hr. B.
