W. ttoauuou, of 277 Broadway avenue, Palmerston North, was married to Allen Clement, third son of Mr. und Mrs. C. T. Brov\n, of 44 Gordon streot, Danuovirke. , Rev. J. Tyrrell-Baxter wus tile olneiating clergyman, and Mr. lamer presided at Hie organ. Escorted by uer father, the bride iooned most attractive in her gown ol white rose patterned lace over cream cloque, which iioished in a long circular tram. The bodice had a V nock anu was shirred m the centre lfom and uuitoned at the uaea. with ueartsuaped buttons and loops. The eieevvs were long and pointed, ncr tune veil Y>us nelu to nor head with tree nires-bx-tne-vaiiey, and she wore a necklet of pearls ana carried a bouquet oi white camellias, tree lilies-of-the-valley and maidenhair tern.
Mrs. C. Brown, sister of the bride, was matron of Honour, and another sister, Miss Noeleen fccauuen, was tne undesxhaid. Both were similarly attired in iroeks ot mauvo embossed crepe satin with ioug-pomted slbeyes. V necks fastened wil?h sprays oi violets, sell-covered buttons ornament ing the back of the bodices from neck to waistline. The shirts were long aud lull. They wore bandeaux of violets, also silver shoes and carried bouquets of violets and winter roses tied with silver ribbons.
Mr. George Scadden was tho best man, and Mr. Cliff Brown groomsman. Messrs. Neil Scadden aud Graham Gunter officiated as usners.
As tho bride and bridegroom left the church tho bride was presented with a horse-shoe by her nephew, Clement Brown.
At tho church Miss B. Kelly sang the solo, “The Gift of Life.”
The guests were later hospitably entertained by the bride’s parents at Messrs. Coliinson and Cunningname’s tearooms, where the tables wore decorated with Iceland poppies and spring bulbs. Mrs. Scadden wore a frock of roseberry maroeaxn, a black redingote and black straw hat, her posy being of cyclamen. The bridegroom’s mother wore a navy costume, navy straw hat and carried blue hyacinths as a posy.
The usual felicitations Were offered to the happy couple, and during the reception pleasure was given to tie company by Mr. A. Opputt, who sang
“Because,” and Miss Yvonne Nicholson, who contributed a Highland dance, accompanied by her father on tho bagpipes. When Mr. and Mrs. Brown left by car for Wellington, the bride travelled in a navy tailored costume with cream lace blouse and smart model spring hat with veil aud navy accessories, also a golden skunk fur, tho gift of tho bridegroom.
