National Party at Halcombe

The Halcombe branch of the Manawatu National Party met in Halcombe on August 25 to hear an address by Mr. C. E. Taylor ou the financial undertakings of the present Government, with special reference to the banking business. This was followed with great interest, after which supper was served by the ladies. Later the branch

women’s organisation held a meeting, during which the minutes of the previous meeting were read. Tho secretary reported on the electorate meeting and the president upon that of the women’s excutive. It was decided to make arrangements for the holding of a branch social.
