TERRACE END BOWLING CLUB The annual meeting of the Terraco End Bowling Club was held last evening. Mr. G. W. Mills presided before a gathering of about 30, which included several croquet players. The club hoped to have the new green, said Mr. Mills, ready for the forthcoming season. Such was the condition of the playing area that omy the wind could bo blamed for a bad shot. Mr. Mills declared that the club had suffered a great loss in the passing o* the former president, Mr. J. W. Smith, a man of a lovable naturo whom would be proud to call a friend. The report and balance-sheet, previously published, were adopted as read. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Mr, G. W. Mills; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. J, O’Shea, T. Simpson, J. Davidson; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. D. Milne; greens advisor, Mr. J. Todd; auditor, Mr. J. J. O’Shea; committee, Messr*,. E. Anderson, A. H. McLean, A. J. Smith, W. Kells, R. Ellis, A. Stewart, E Bringezue. In the event of a vacancy occurring on the committee during the season, Mr. G. A. S. Melville was appointed to fill the position. The opening date for the season was fixed for next Monday, September 5.
