With reference to the association's enquiry to the Hastings R.S.A. for assistance in erecting a suitable headstone and kerbing on the grave of the late Mr. J.* A. Wilson, that association advised that they have no funds available for such -work. —The letter -was received.
The Pahiatua Fire Brigade wrote accepting the rules suggested by the association governing the control for the Monos Cup for billiards and the day of the first match was fixed as August 33.
After somo further discussion with regard to possible counter attractions, the dato for the annual re-union of the Wopdville association was decided. It will bo held on Saturday fortnight. The question of the charge for the reunion came up and after consideration it was fixed at the same as last year. Other arrangements for the re-union were left iu the hands of several subcommittees with power to act. The question of alterations to the club buddings was also left to a subcommittee, granted similar powers. Mr. Broughton raised tfie matter ox the grave of the late Mr. Wilson, referred to in tho letter from Hastings, and lifter some, discussion it was moved that headquarters should be asked for information and assistance pending receipt of a reply from Fahiatua. Mr. Keay considexed this a waste of time and urged that the work be undertaken by the Woodville branch without further delay. Mr. Broughton seconded this.
Mr. Mackie stressed the importance of obtaining help if possible, as he thought that the Woodville association should not be lumbered with the whole of the cost, as the grave was not in the local cemetery. Mr, Broughton said tile parochial viewpoint should be abanubned in such a case and that it was purely a matter of principle. After further discussion, however, the amendment was withdrawn and it is expected that advice will be to hand from headquarters and Fahiatua by the next meeting.
Mr. A. L. Collins was added to the roll of the association and Messrs. H. and L. Lagor were elected honorary membors.
