Mr.'and Mrs. A. V. Brabant spen. their honeymoon in Taihape and Hamit ton, where they were the'guests of Mr and Mrs. R. A. Wigzell. They returned yesterday.
Mr. Jack Murray, of Ohingaiti, returns home this morning. He has been the guest in Woodviilo of Mrs. Birss. Mr. A. S. Lyons, Independent candidate for the Mid-Canterbury electorate was for many years engaged in farming on Coppermine road, Maharahara. Mr. and. Mrs. R. Lilly have returned from a holiday spent in the South Island.
An old resident of Lowor Hutt, Mr& E. Tredennick, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. P. E. Anslow, of Ormond street. On Sunday Mrs. Tredennick celebrated her 80th birthday, when she received a number of congratulatory messages from friends in Woodville and in other towns. She received a bouquet from tho ladies of the Methodist Guild, Lower Hutt, and a birthday cake made by her grand-daughter, Miss M. Anslow, carried the appropriate number of candles.
