Snow Draws Large Crowds
WINTER SPORT CLOSE TO CITY Tho snow which fell on the hills adjacent to the Paliiatua hill road on Friday night afforded much enjoyment to the children and adults on Saturday and again yesterday afternoon. The road leading to tho summit was thronged with cars all making for tho snowcovered slopes and snow men were to be seen at many points. For the children it was a gift from heaven and they made the most of their opportunities. Snow fights were entered into with zeal and parents shared in tho fun. The road surface became sticky as tho thaw set in and care was necessary on the part of drivers of motor vehicles. Quite a number piled snow on the roofs of their ears before returning to the city and as they mingled with the rest of the traffic the contrast served to account for the icy chill in the wind.
