Oroua Bowling Club
ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Oroua Bowling Club, Feilding, was held on Saturday night, Mr. C. Hausmann presiding over a good attendance of members. Before proceeding with the business the president made feeling reforonco to the passing of two very prominent supporters of the club, Messrs. E. Goodbehere and T. Hewitt and those present stood in silence in recording the club sympathy with relatives. In proposing the adoption of tho annual report, Mr. Hausmann said that the past season had been most successful and he felt that members could look forward with every confidence that the approaching season would find the green in great heart.
The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. C. Hausmann; vice-president, Mr. G. Buckman; committee, Messrs. E. R. Bridge, C. B Ait ken, <T. P, Petrie, W. Mcßhail, • W. Nottle, H. E. Guthrie, B. W. Law, 11. Smithers, ,T. McK. McDonald; secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. Pagan; auditor, Mr. A. D. Hamilton.
Three new members were elected and the business concluded with the passing of special votes of thanks to the ladies of the Croquet Club, Mr. J. P. Petrie, for his work as sole selector Tor the past two seasons, Mr. A. Pitman, green keeper and to the green superintendent, Mr. C. B. Aiken. I The trophies won during the past season were then presented as follows; 'Championship singles, Mr. T. Simpson; handicap singles, Mr. A. D. Hamilton; handicap pairs, Messrs. \V. McAvoy | and W. B. Law; Pearce Cup, Mr. IV. I Nottle.
