The evening- was spent in games, interspersed with musical items. After the ladies had seerved supper, Mr Corkill spoke of Mr Davis’ sterling qualities. When he and bis family moved, the district would sustain a distinct loss. Ho joined with all present in wishing Mr Davis and family all prosperity and happiness. Rev. Fleury in bidding Mr and Mrs Davis farewell said how much they would be missed in tho district, and made mention of their beautiful garden. Ho then called on Mr and Mrs Davis to accept a mantel clock as a mark of the esteem in which they were held by their friends. He also presented Miss Stephanie Davis with a dressing-table set.
