Home-Made Shortbread. A tea dainty that can be easily and quickly made is shortbread, using oatmeal. Mix together two cups of oatmeal, one cup of self-raising flour, half a cup of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt. Knead in half a pound of margarine and the juice of one orange. Bake for fifteen minutes. Cooking Liver. / good way of cooking liver is to place moderately thick slices in smoking hot fat in the grill pan. On toy place rashers of fat bacon with tomatoes round. Remove bacon rashers as they are cooked and watch that the liver does not get black and hard. Nice, served with thickened gravy potatoes and can be prepared in ten minutes.
