Proposed Cathedral in Wellington

The proposal to erect a Cathedral in Wellington has met with a wonderful reception in the Capital City and every district in the province is joining heartly in the campaign. The district committee coverng Palmerston North, Feilding and counties adjoining has arranged for a public meeting in the Opera Houso to-night. The principal, speaker will be his Lordship the Bishop of Wellington, who will give full information about tho proposal and will launch the local campaign. As iu Wellington, everyone lealisee that the proposal is as much a national one as a Church effort, and every citizen will be interested in some way or other. Other speakers at the meeting will be the Mayor of Feilding, Mr. J. Hodgens, M.P., Hon. J. G. Cod be, M.P., Mr. J. A. [Nash and Mr. B. J. Jacobs, and the Mayor, Mr. A. E. Mansford, will pre side. The proposal has so many features which appeal that a large attendance j - anticipated at the Opera House night.
