A “Linen” Evening

MISS GWEN BRYSON HONOURED A “linen" evening for a bride-to-be, Miss Gwen Bryson, and organised by Aliss J. Dalgleisli, took place in Mr. and Airs. J. Mclntosh's homo in Vogel street on Saturday evening. There was a considerable number of people present and they very pleasantly passed the time with dancing and games. Competition numbers were won as follows: —Spot waltz, Mr. L. Watkins and Mrs. P. Golder; Alonte Carlo, Air. C. K. Leach and Miss Al. Golder; statue waltz, Mr. K. Henson and Miss D. Watkins; novelty game, Miss E. Beale. During a suitable interval in the evening's programme Mr. Nichols called upon Aliss Bryson to open the many parcels brought by her friends. In reply, both Aliss Bryson and her fiance, Air. A. Brabant, thanked the gathering for their many fine and useful presents and also their host and hostess for the evening's entertainment.
