Hiker and Cyclist
DOMINION GRANDMOTHER LONDON, June 18. A champion hiker and cyclist at the age of 61, Mrs. Kitty O’Sullivan, New Zealand’s "modern grandmother,’ * may be booked by the Scottish Physi-. cal Fitness Council to give displays in its pavilion at the Empire Exhibition. She offered her services on the completion of her walk from Land’s End to John o* Groats, when she covered SSI miles in 34 days. Whether or not Mrs. O’Sullivan obtains the position, she is going to learn to fly, so that she can pilot an aeroplane to New Zealand in an attempt to beat Miss Batten’s solo flight record. Mrs. O’Sullivan started on her open air life at the age of 50, when she wss a grandmother and an invalid. Her advice to women who would be healthy and slim is: "Fight for a waistline, but do it before it is too late.’*
