Death of Union Airways Pilots

PERSONNEL OF BOARD OF INQUIRY Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The official inquiry into the crashing of the Lockheed air liner Kotare at Mangere on May 10 resulting in the death of Flight-Lieutenant C. ML. Duthie and Mr. W. J. Peel, will open at Auckland on the morning of July 18, according to an annoucemcnt made this evening by the Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Joes.) Tho Minister stated that the board of inquiry would consist of Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M. (Wellington), Squadron-Leader H. Burrell (Royal New Zealand Air Force) and Mr. D. M. Allen (chief instructor to Mie Auckland Aero Club.) The board would be required to make n full investigation and report regarding tbe accident. The inquest which was previously opened for purposes of identification will bo resumed before Mr. F. K. Hunt, Coroner, at Auckland next Friday. Only formal evidence will be ’ card in view of the inquiry.
