Fathers Are Guests at All Saints’ Mothers’ Union
A happy time was spent when All taints* branch of the Mothers* Union entertained the fathers on Thursday. The club room was bright with autumn berries and leaves and a glowing fire contributed to the general comfort. A number of fathers were present and an interesting programme of items and competitions was enjoyed. Tho following items were given: Songs, Mrs. W. R. Bigham, Miss D. Lagridge, Mr. J. Pritchard and (by special request), Mr. F. WollCrman; trios, Mesdamcs Bigham, A. Hunt, and Smale; recitations, Miss F. Whittaker; sketch, Mesdames S. J. Benr.fctt, H. Finch and Kennedy. Mrs. Bigham played the accompaniments for her solos and Mrs. F. Wollerman played for the other items. Competition winners were: “Tearing a paper animal/* Mrs. Kennedy and Mr. J. Pritchard; peanuts. Mr. A. Ashcroft; car names, Mrs. W. R. Bigham and Mr. Bass. Canon G. Y. Woodward returned thanks on behalf of the fathers and the evening concluded with the singing of “God Save the King.**
