Monthly Rainfall
I JUNE, 1938, BELOW AVERAGE According to figures kindly supplied by Air. J. C. Bolton, rain fell on 15 days iu June, totalling 3.62 inches. The heaviest fall was on the 22nd, i when the amount was .70 in'elies. ,The I average over the past six years for the month of Juno is -1.03 inches, j The total for 1937 was 44.1-1 inches, and the half-yearly aggregate for 1938 is 28.18 inches, which yields a monthly average of 4.69 inches. This advance on last year’s average of 3.67 is accounted for by tho phcuomenal fall of I 11.75 inches during April last. After that Alay was a comparatively dry I month with only 1.95 inches.
