TARANAKI EASILY BEAT KING COUNTRY Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUi, Lust Night. Taranaki scored a convincing win over King Country to-day by 14 points to three. Tho visiting backs had a least of the ball, the forwards hooking cleanly from 90 per cent, of the scrums. Only the great tackling by Robinson, the local half, and Crossman ana Cameron, the two live-eighths, prevented Taranaki from amassing a much bigger score. Sullivan played brilliantly, scoring two spectacular tries. Arnold, the Taranaki half, and C Brown also played class football Richards and Coull for Taranaki excelled among the forwards and Trustturn for King Country. For the winners Sullivan scored twice, Richards p.nd Peppcrell one each, and Young converted one. Ward kicked a penalty goal for King Country.
