St Paul’s Presbyterian Women’s Guild

The Foresters * Hall, Pahiatua, had aa appearance reminiscent of Holland yesterday, for ladies wearing Dutch bonnets and stalls decorated with tulips and windmills gave the air of a busy market place in that quaint country..

The fair was officially opened by the Mayor, Mr. S. K. Siddells, and the party moved about the many picturesque stalls, which were festooned with numerous coloured lights. Tho stalls did a brisk trado and by early afternoon many had sold their complete stocks. Tap danciug, Highland fling and deeorated cycles were features. In the evening a programme was presented, there being a large audience. The fair was a huge success and was a '.redit to all responsible.
