On Thursday the A grade Terrace End table tennis team met Milson A grade in a competition match at Milson. The visitors were the winners bv 16 games 4, tho games played being the best of three, 21-up. Results wero as follow. Terraco End players being mentioned first:—• Mis.! L. Hughes beat F. Wood, A. l!cCulloeh, H. Lane, K. Mullins. R. Buchanan lost to F. Wood; beat McCulloch, Lane and Mull ms. L. Sweetman beat Wood. McCulloch, Lane and Mullins. K. Howlands lost to Wood; beat McCulloch, Lano and Mullins. Doubles: Miss L. Hughes and R. Buchanan beat F. Wood and H. Lam-; lost to McCulloch and Mullins. Sweetman and Rowland lo3t to Wood and Lane; beat McCulloch and Mullins. A friendly gamo v\ajs also played between Ml Ison and Terraco End. the Visitors winning by 22 games to 14. On Friday afternoon the local school boys met Russell street in a Rugby competition match, and proved too strong for tho latter team. Tho score was 40—nil. Tho Mi Ison basketball team played Convent girls, and were beaten by 20 points to 7.
