Serious Charge Against Feilding Man

REMANDED IN CUSTODY At a brief sitting of the Feilding Magistrate’s Court on Monday before Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., a labourer of Feilding named David A. Steer was charged with a serious offence concerning two of his daughters. On the application of Sergeant Turner, the accused was remanded in custody until July 7 and was committed to the Palmerston North gaol to await trial. The police announced yesterday that tho two girls concerted had been committed to receiving homes.
