Man-hunt in Tiger Country

Two hundred and fifty police are scouring tho jungle in Pahang State seeking tho ten Chinese allegedly responsible for the murder of Air. Duns ford, the Auckland gold mine manager. It is believed that all avenues of escape are cut off and a pitched battle with the gang who are armed with shotguns is regarded as inevitable. Sixty Malay and Sikh police set out early this morning on a 75-mile jungle trek. Bach policeman is armed with a shotgun, a bayonet and a chopper, also a week’s provisions. Tho country abounds with tigers.
