UNITED STATES CONGRESS. WASHINGTON, June 4. The “spending spree” of the present session of Conogress has reached a record peace-time level. Authorisations approved represent £3,363,250,000. In criticising new demands for funds. Mr John Tabor, in the House of Rep resentatives, said the unprecedented expenditure authorised by Congress thii session included:—For the Treasury and the Post Office, £988,500,000; relief works, £813,000,000; for tho Army and Navy, £330,500,000; for the Agricultural Department, £272,500,000.
