Abrupt Termination To Wrestling Bout

FAT FRALEY DISQUALIFIED AUCKLAND, Lost Night. There wae an abrupt termination to the professional wrestling contest at the Town Hail on {Saturday evening between two Irish Canadians, Fat Fraley and Fat Meehan, the referee disqualifying the former in the seventh round. Alter a series of elbow jolts Fraley quickly tripped his opponent and caught him in a flying toe hold. Meehan lost no time in tapping the mat os a sign of submission and the referee patted Fraley ou the back to indicate a fall had been awarded. Fraicy, however, continued to apply the pressure and the referee had to force the men apart. Meehan lay on the mat holding his leg, which apj>eared to have been injured. The referee consulted Meehan and then awarded him the decision. This met with & very mixed reception, Fraley's supporters evidently being of tho opinion that if any disqualification was merited, it should have been done immediately and not several seconds after the incident occurred. The first fall was obtained by Meehan iu the sixth round. He had Fraley in difficulties with a hammerlock, the ropes saving the latter. A second hammerlock was immediately applied combined with & wfistlock. Fraley submitted and then remonstrated with the referee for not having had him released sooner.
