Organised for the mass production ot aircraft in order to meet the Air Ministry's requirements for the expansion of the Royal Air Force, the Fairey Aviation Company’s factory' at Stockport has become one of the largest of its land in the Kingdom. Apart from the construction of seaplane floats, the factory is devoted to the manufacture of Fairey “Battle” aircraft, shown in various stages of assembly. This type of machine is the fastest single-engined bomber in the world, and is being supplied in large numbers to the K.A.F.
