Labour Does Not Fear Elections

New Zealand’s Labour Government does not fear the elections,” said Hon. Lee Martin to-day. “Neither does it fear a breakdown of the price guarantee system in a period of depressed expert prices.” The Government would go to the electors in November confidently claiming credit for the improved economic conditions. “Tho great majority of New Zealand dairy-farmers will declare against a return to the Rafferty rules existing before the present system. Perhaps ail are not completely satisfied but they realise that they have been given stability,” added Mr. Lee Martin.
